Hulbert House is one of Queenstown’s original residences which has been lovingly
restored to match its Victorian heritage and now offers accommodation that is the
perfect mix of timeless elegance, with contemporary touches and services.
To complement our luxury boutique 5-star accommodation, we are recruiting for a
skilled and passionate individual to join our small team as General Assistant.
You must be either a New Zealand Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a current and
open work visa.

General Assistant / Guest Services

Duties will include:
• Housekeeping
• Attending to guests at breakfast
• Checking-in guests
• Attending to guests’ requests
• Concierge services
• Preparing and serving canapes and drinks
• Hosting guests during our evening cocktail period
• Turndown service
It is essential that the successful candidate for this role will have:
• Previous experience working in a 5 star environment in both front of house and
food & beverage
• Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ) and General Manager’s Certificate
preferred, but not essential
• Full NZ Driver’s Licence
• A high level of organisation and communication skills and great attention to
detail
• A desire to deliver and exceed expectations in guest service
