Want to trade in your 9-5 for a pair of gumboots? Are you looking for a unique challenge that combines customer service, tourism and getting hands on with the rural side of a high-country farm?
Our team at Walter Peak are looking for an entertaining Rural Demonstrator to join them in a full time, permanent capacity.
A typical day will see you:
- Hosting groups on our popular farm tour product;
- Demonstrating farm practises such as sheep shearing and dog handling (full training provided);
- Helping to ensure immaculate presentation of the grounds, buildings and infrastructure;
- Ensuring that our animals stay at optimum health and are well presented at all times.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent communication skills and can connect with a diverse range of people of all ages and cultures;
- Has an interest in the Tourism and/or the Agriculture industry;
- Is passionate about animals, people and sharing their knowledge.
- We will provide a full training and mentoring programme and subsidised accommodation can also be provided for the successful candidate.
Hosting groups of varying sizes and nationalities we need a positive personality that can connect with people from all walks of life. If you are a bit of a character and have a passion for farming or tourism, this is the role for you!
