You will have the opportunity to play a leadership role within a dream team of creative culinarians. All the start-up bumps have been ironed out and it feels like we have been here for years already. To be shortlisted for this unreal opportunity, you will;

• Have three years’ experience in a similar role;
• A formal qualification will help but is not crucial;
• Have experience in menu creation and leading a kitchen team;

As Sous Chef, you will be the ultimate Robin to our Head Chef Batman, ensuring the smooth day to day running of the kitchen operations at Canyon Food & Brew Co. Your primary responsibility first and foremost will be to make damn good food and motivate an unreal team to do the same but while you’re at it, there are several other things you will need to take care of:

• You will be providing guidance and leadership to all kitchen staff, taking an active role in their learning and development;
• Ensuring all handling of freight and foodstuffs is in line with hygiene and food safety best practice;
• Ordering and managing stock;
• Assisting in the training of the entire kitchen team to the required standard;
• Ensuring a consistently high standard of meals are prepared and served minimising food wastage;
• You will need lightning fast reflexes, be on the ball and be able to thrive under pressure;
• Lead the day to day procedural operation of the kitchen including cleaning and general tasks;
• Step up and run the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
