Tool Based Assembler

Tool Based Assembler

Among other things, Malcove assembles bicycles for a variety of large stores throughout NZ.  We are seeking a mechanically minded person for a range of tasks including, but not limited to :

  • Bicycle assembly
  • Bicycle repairs
  • Flat pack furniture assembly
  • One off other tasks including display stand installations

Previous bicycle assembly experience would be useful however, if you are mechanically minded, we will provide training.  You will need to supply your own tools, some will be specific to bicycles and a power drill is recommended for furniture assembly.

While this is a contract role and demands on your time can fluctuate, Queenstown is a very busy area and for the right candidate, we would consider a full time salaried position if that was preferred.  Working hours can be flexible if you wish, you can start early or late or even have a day off mid week and work on the weekend instead.  The stores we service are open long hours and you can attend almost any time they are open as long as you keep to a regular pattern of days and let us know if you are unable to visit on a regular day for any reason.

Communication is important, both with the Malcove office and the stores, we will provide you with a phone and plenty of data to make this easy for you.

If you prefer part time work, we would also consider having two or three people in a job share situation.  Give us a call and talk through your preferences.  We have a new project starting during the week of 24 September and will have our National Trainer in town to head this up and provide training at the same time.
