Groups Consultant Position

Pacific Travel Planners (PTP) is a specialist Inbound Tour Operator (ITO), focusing on the Latin American and Spanish markets.
Founded on the ethos of exceptional customer service, PTP’s mission is to be the number one choice as a
business partner for wholesalers and travel agents from Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries.
PTP is going through a period of rapid growth and we’re looking for people who want to help the company fulfill its’ mission.
We are a seeking a talented individual to join and complement our expanding Group Department. We have a
strong focus on hiring people who fit the PTP culture and are passionate about what they do – both at work and outside it.
No two days will ever be the same in our office!
Every day will be injected with a bit of fun and we work to exceed our customers’ expectations.
To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of 2 years of travel or inbound tourism experience, be
confident navigating a range of software packages and booking platforms including Touplan and display an
ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment whilst producing accurate work.
You will need to be fluent (spoken/written) in Spanish and if you can communicate in Portuguese it would be a huge advantage. You are selling NZ, AUS and the Islands, so destination knowledge is expected, but a proactive, can-do attitude in learning different products/destinations a non-negotiable.

Expectations for these roles are:
• Planning and quoting itineraries for Spanish / Portuguese speaking groups coming to NZ, Australia
and/or South Pacific Islands
• Develop and nurture relationships with agents to meet Sales, Profit, Conversion and Customer
Satisfaction metrics
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure services are requested and confirmed, communicate with guests
quickly as changes occur
• Look for opportunities to support other parts of the operation
• Carry, answer and resolve any issues that arrive via the after-hours emergency telephone on a roster
basis.
