• Permanent, part-time 0.7 FTE (52.2 hours per fortnight)
Are you an experienced Health Promoter, looking for a diverse new role that will see you travelling between communities in the Queenstown area, championing various Public Health initiatives on behalf of the Southern DHB?
If your answer is yes, look no further.
The Southern DHB Public Health Service currently have an opening best suited to applicants with experience in the field of Heath Promotion and a knowledge of community development.
In this role you’ll be working autonomously and need to have an innovative approach, whilst being familiar with project development and implementation. You’ll have expertise in managing relationships both internally and in the wider community, including stakeholders, local government and NGOs, as you work to coordinate your work to improve population health.
It goes without saying that you will be an exceptional planner with outstanding organisational skills. You’ll bring your presentation skills, along with good communication skills and be computer literate.
A good knowledge of, and strong links to the Queenstown/Lakes and Central Otago communities will be an advantage. Experience working in the community or settings based health promotion is essential. It is important that you work as a valued team member and are able to travel throughout Otago and hold a full clean driver’s licence.
