Kawarau Falls Bridge update

From 9 January all traffic will move onto the new Kawarau Falls bridge, in a single lane with temporary traffic signals and the Heritage bridge will be permanently closed to vehicle traffic.

Queenstown drivers are likely to experience some queuing as the single lane traffic arrangement that was in place before the holidays returns on the new bridge.

Work on the bridge and surrounding pipework is progressing well and both lanes on the new bridge will be operational in April of this year.
